If you are interested in scheduling an evaluation or have more questions about services or whether or not scheduling an evaluation is a good fit for you or your child, please email DrTara@TaraBenninger.com with your name, preferred phone and email address and the name of your insurance company. You can also call the office at 614-233-1761.
If you need to change or cancel your appointment, please email DrTara@TaraBenninger.com as soon as possible. In agreeing to see you, we are reserving a block of time for your use. It, therefore, becomes time we cannot make available for any other purpose without sufficient notice. If you let us know of your cancellation before 5:00pm the day before a scheduled appointment, we will not charge you for this time. If the notice is not provided, a $90.00 late cancel fee will be charged.
We do not maintain a 24-hour emergency number. In case of a medical or psychiatric emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room. In Franklin County, you can also call the Psychiatric Crisis line at 614-722-1800.
Evaluations typically include a comprehensive clinical interview completed with the child’s parent or the individual, multiple rating scales completed by parents/caregivers and teachers, or for adults, the individual and an observer (someone who knows them well), and some combination of direct testing of cognitive ability, learning, and working memory. Approximately two weeks following testing appointments, a feedback is completed to review all results and answer questions as well as provide recommendations for possible intervention if warranted.
